Beth Metzendorf, MSW, LCSW, Psychotherapist graduated from The University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and New York University with master’s degree in Social Work. With more than 20 years of clinical social work experience, Beth practices a tailored, individualized, flexible approach, with an appreciation for the many challenges associated with aging to best support clients.
For clients facing the many changes and losses of aging, the process of psychotherapy can offer a safe and trusting relationship in which to examine those most frightening feelings. Only by feeling understood, supported and valued, may clients begin the process of self-exploration. For some, aging well depends on the ability to mourn for the self, and this opens possibilities and freedom in the years that are to come.
Beth strives to approach each client relationship with a deep respect and appreciation for each client’s unique history. Only by doing so, can she provide the support and education necessary to help individuals formulate their own best choices.
